Gettin’ Grown is the go-to podcast for navigating adulthood while Black, offering an authentic, relatable, and empowering space for its community. The podcast provides thoughtful guidance, humor, and realness. Gettin’ Grown blends representation and relatability, threading culturally significant influences into every story it tells. With a mission to champion culture, center community, and elevate empowerment, the podcast amplifies diverse voices and experiences, offering its audience the tools and inspiration they need to thrive in adulthood.
After six years, Gettin’ Grown needed a new identity to reflect the podcast’s evolution. They wanted a brand that captured their growth while continuing to serve as the go-to podcast for navigating adulthood while Black. Along with the rebrand, they sought a merch collection that celebrated this new chapter, offering their community a way to connect with the show’s empowering and relatable message.
Rebranding Gettin’ Grown started with in-depth workshops and creative briefs to establish the updated brand narrative and guide the new look and feel. We conducted thorough design research to determine which styles would resonate most with their audience. The result was a refreshed brand identity and merch collection that honored the podcast’s evolution while incorporating beloved elements from its previous versions. This ensured that both the identity and merch reflected the podcast’s growth while staying true to the aspects the audience has always connected with.
