Little Lagos: Event Development & Marketing

Overview

Little Lagos is and always has been for the culture and community. As a multifunctional hub making space – figuratively and literally, they foster creativity and collaboration across the cornerstones of culture. They are well-known and loved as local curators of dynamic curated experiences that connect people to the heart of local cuisine, arts, and activations in Australia, guided by the influences of the Black Diaspora.

Challenge

With the intention of offering a behind the scenes perspective around African artists, within and outside of the Australian music market, Little Lagos chose to develop a panel series. The goal of this event is to engage in an intimate conversation to deepen appreciation, provide career related guidance, and spotlight diverse perspectives.

Approach

For the panel collaboration with Insights by Muyiwa, we focused on creating a balanced platform where both the Little Lagos and Insights brands could shine. The date was strategically chosen to coincide with the PromiseLand festival, ensuring the target audience would be accessible and interested in complementary activities. The flow of the conversation was designed to give ample space for Muyiwa’s expertise, supported by local voices that expanded on his insights. Panelists were carefully selected to foster a harmonious discussion, offering diverse perspectives on various industry paths for a well-rounded and engaging event.
